It is important to recognize that legal processes require careful thought, thorough analysis, and deliberate execution. Expediency in these matters often compromises the quality of work and may lead to oversight or errors. In the interest of maintaining the highest standards of legal service and avoiding potential mistakes, adherence to established work schedules and respect for designated rest periods are essential. Sufficient time should be allocated for each task to ensure meticulous and accurate completion.
- Weekend Breaks:
– My weekends are Friday and Saturday. Work requests submitted on Thursday evenings will be processed on Sunday and delivered by Monday or Tuesday at the latest.
- Remote Work and Flexible Hours Policy:
I work remotely. Remote work is based on a task-oriented approach rather than a strict adherence to availability from 9 AM to 5 PM. I complete tasks at times that suit me best throughout the day. I do not adhere to fixed working hours. If I am working at 11 PM, this does not mean that I am available for communication at that late hour.
- Communication via Telegram or WhatsApp:
-Text messages are responded to within a day, not immediately upon receipt. I treat WhatsApp and Telegram communications like email and do not engage in written chats during the weekend. When I send you a text message after midnight, please do not respond immediately. Respond in the morning instead.
- Task Execution Time:
– Each task, whether drafting or reviewing a contract, is executed within two business days. Some tasks may require more time.
- Information Required for Task Execution:
– Adequate information is necessary for task execution. All required information must be provided in writing, not via recorded voice messages on WhatsApp or Telegram. Information should not be relayed during meetings; it must be written down first. While tasks can be discussed in a meeting, reliance should not be on verbal information; it must be provided in writing.
- Post-Contract Drafting:
– After drafting a contract, a copy is sent to the company. The company is expected to provide feedback on the document in writing. A specific meeting to discuss feedback is unnecessary. Although a meeting can be held to discuss contract amendments, I must first receive written comments on the document.
- Meetings and Availability:
– All meetings are conducted via Microsoft Teams under my account. To ensure availability and my attendance, meetings must be scheduled in advance. Emergency meetings not scheduled in advance are subject to my availability and presence in the office. If I am not available, the response will be that I am unavailable. I don’t attend meetings during weekends (Fridays and Saturdays).
- Legal Consultations:
– Legal consultations require legal research and diligence. Therefore, I do not provide consultation answers during the initial meeting. If a consultation begins with a meeting to discuss details, the consultation will be provided two business days later after thorough research and consideration.
- Document Review:
– All documents I send must be reviewed by the project manager, who may suggest commercial amendments. Sometimes these amendments can negatively impact the company’s legal stance. In such cases, my role is to clarify the negative implications of the amendments. The final decision to proceed with the amendments is up to the company.
- Attending Meetings with Clients:
– While we are open to attending meetings with clients, please note that a lawyer’s presence can negatively impact the client relationship in many cases. Direct client communication is typically handled by the project manager, not the lawyer. I may attend critical negotiation meetings or problem-solving sessions. I carefully consider attending meetings with clients and often decline because, after understanding the issue, I find that a lawyer’s presence may cause the client distress or anxiety.
- Policy Adherence and Exceptions:
Please understand that adherence to these guidelines becomes even more crucial under significant work pressure. These policies are designed to promote a healthy work environment for both parties. Should there be attempts to deviate from these guidelines, it is important not to take the adherence to these policies personally. There may be instances where exceptions to these policies are made at my discretion; however, this does not negate the existence of the policies. Reminders of these guidelines may be necessary to ensure we maintain our professional standards during busy periods.
